Moringa seed oil has been used for various purposes such as nutrition, cooking and therapeutic. In Chinese medicine it is used for many centuries. In modern day, moringa oil is manufactured for personal as well as industrial uses.
- Cooking: Moringa is rich in protein as well as oleic acid (a monosaturated fat). Moringa cooking oil is way more economical as per other cooking oil. Cooking oil made from seed is highly nutritious and is gaining popularity in food industry.
- moisturizer & Topical cleanser. Because of high concentration of oleic acid, oil works as an excellent cleanser and moisturizer for hair as well as skin when applied topically.
- Cholesterol management. Edible seed oil contains a sterol (an important component of eukaryotic cell membranes) lowers LDL i.e. Bad Cholesterol.
- Antioxidant. Many research studies have found organic antioxidants such as Beta-sitosterol in seed oil to be beneficial as an antidiabetic agent.
- Anti-inflammatory. Bioactive organic compounds such as tocopherols, catechins, ferulic acid, quercetin and zeatin that have anti-inflammatory effects.
